On the cover: Incarcerated men at Attica Correctional Facility (a maximum security/supermax NY state prison) in Attica, New York raise their fists September 10, 1971 to show solidarity, in regards to their demands during a negotiation session with the state prisons Commissioner. In the four-day uprising, 43 people died (33 inmates, 10 correctional officers and civilian employees, one officer was killed in the early stages of the incident, the rest died by gunfire from state troopers and retired correctional officers).
