He earned a B.S. in Physics from Brown University, an M.S. in Physics from Stanford University, an M.B.A. from Emory University, a half-brother of U.S. President Barack H. Obama, and founder of the Mark Obama Ndesandjo Foundation whose goal is to promote cultural exchange through art between Asia, Africa and America, with a focus on young and disadvantaged children.
